Topping-out ceremony in Schkeuditz!

Five years ago we found our home in Schkeuditz. Our EASA, FAA and CAA UK Part-145 certified MRO operation is just a few minutes from Leipzig Airport (LEJ), one of the largest cargo hubs in Europe. The positive customer development in air freight as well as in passenger traffic is a major reason for the constantly increasing number of aircraft to be serviced.

“The Schkeuditz location is ideal, but given the current growth forecasts in air traffic, the current premises are far too small. As an innovative and growth-oriented company, we are investing in this new building and highly modern facilities, which are ideal for the repair of fiber composite materials and sheet metal processing. This step means not only a significant increase in capacity at the new location, but also an addition to our repair portfolio with a modern infrastructure," says Dieter Krah, Managing Director of HEICO Aircraft Maintenance.

The decision to construct a new building was made last summer and construction started this summer. Despite the adverse weather, numerous invited guests came to the traditional topping-out ceremony. City officials and the entire HEICO team came to the traditional carpenter's saying to duly inaugurate the new building. The entire HEICO Aircraft Maintenance Team is looking forward to accepting these challenges in the new facility and implementing them with the required quality standards. We look forward to the move!
